• Location: Fully Remote [Canada Only]

Compensation:

• Full Benefits (including family plan)
• Base Salary: $80,000-90,000
• 4 weeks vacation

Role Description

You will play a key role in guiding clients through the mortgage process—from initial consultation to closing. You’ll leverage your expertise and proprietary Perch technology to assess client needs, recommend appropriate products, and manage the end-to-end experience with professionalism and care. In addition to a technological advantage, we have an in-house customer success team that can amplify your impact and let you focus on the parts that matter the most.

You will not need your own book of business, you are servicing a large client base on behalf of Perch.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients, real estate partners, and referral sources.
• Advise clients on residential mortgage solutions tailored to their financial situations and goals from pre-approval through funding. This includes A, B and private mortgage options.
• Managing own pipeline of mortgage applications, including; document review, appraisal bookings, client outreach, etc.
• Working independently or with management to analyze and assess mortgage applications, evaluate borrowers' creditworthiness, ensure compliance with lending guidelines, and make decisions on mortgage pre-approvals
• Collaborating with our engineering, product and design to make the Perch platform even better
• Identify cross-selling opportunities such as insurance and wealth advisory to Perch partners.

Skills Required

Need to Have

• 5+ years in the Canadian mortgage space (as a lender or broker) with strong understanding of the broker mortgage market
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer service skills are a must as this role is client facing.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of compliance requirements
• Ability to own tasks and complete in timely manner
• We are strong advocates for work/life balance, but this role does require some flexibility in working hours. Our clients will be in different time zones and may need assistance outside 9 to 5 Monday-Friday
• Ability to speak/read/write fluently in English
• An active mortgage agent or broker license in any Canadian province

Nice to Have

• Ability to speak/read/write fluently in French or other languages
• Strong network of real estate professionals and client referral sources
