About the Role
We’re looking for an ambitious Head of Engineering to take ownership of engineering operations, team and delivery coordination at Tapi. You’ll work closely with our CTO, who leads technical strategy and platform architecture, while you focus on day-to-day team operations, sprint cadence, support workflows, and team management, growth and regional coordination.

What You’ll Do
- Delivery Coordination: You’ll run sprint planning, keep engineering delivery humming, and drive consistent momentum across our distributed development teams. You’ll also help unblock projects and improve cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, and customer success.
- Team Operations: While our CTO provides technical leadership, you’ll coordinate team rhythms, help build team culture, and support individual growth through operational systems and support structures.
- Process Optimisation: You’ll identify ways to make our engineering processes more efficient, from faster code reviews to tighter feedback loops. Your focus will be on scalable, sustainable systems that improve developer experience and ship quality product.
- Technical Support Operations: You’ll bring structure to our support processes, reduce ticket friction, and ensure the support team has the tools and guidance they need.
- Engineering Reporting: From sprint burndown charts to roadmap progress, you’ll keep the company informed on how engineering is tracking. You’ll provide useful metrics and insights to support better planning and decision-making.
- Hiring Coordination: We’re growing. You’ll manage hiring logistics, lead first-round screens, and partner with the CTO on interviews and final hiring decisions.
- Regional Operations: Tapi operates across multiple countries, and you’ll help ensure smooth engineering coordination across time zones and borders. You’ll also support the operational side of launching into new regions.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of engineering management experience, with a strong focus on delivery coordination and operational excellence
- A knack for systems and process design—you’ve probably led sprint rituals, improved dev team velocity, or redesigned handoffs
- Proven experience managing development workflows and optimising team productivity
- Strong coordination and communication skills—you’re calm in the chaos and good at rallying cross-functional stakeholders
- A technical foundation—you don’t need to write the code, but you can speak the language and understand the challenges
- A growth mindset—you’re excited about growing in the role as the company scales
- An operational focus—you care about doing the work better, faster, and with less friction
