Excited to be part of something big? Tapi is searching for a Business Development Manager to help drive growth in Australia. This is a full-time hybrid or remote role, with regular travel to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and other cities in Australia.

About the role

The Business Development Manager (BDM) role at Tapi is for top talent sales people with quota-crushing enthusiasm and track record. You will report to the Head of Sales and Co-Founder, and you will be measured by customer acquisition (measured by property growth) and maintaining average revenue per property (SaaS revenue). To thrive at Tapi, you will have next level hustle and drive. You will be hungry about expanding the Tapi customer base and engaging in every phase of the sales process.

The day to day in the role, you will:

  • Promote Tapi and its product suite as solutions to prospective customers
  • Own the full sales cycle from discovery to close for your account portfolio
  • Prepare your monthly sales plan (in collaboration with the sales team and Head of Sales), to exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities
  • Provide product demonstrations and general support to prospective customers
  • Nurture and expand the company's relationship with business owners, customers, in conjunction with their assigned Customer Success Manager
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
  • Represent Tapi at conferences, industry events, partnership events, in webinars, and always be focused on building a strong pipeline and managing customer prospects
  • Participate in team building and company growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, collaborative upskilling, marketing efforts and customer care

About you

  • You have demonstrated transactional sales experience including prospecting and assessing sales potential over the phone
  • You can handle a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline and close them quickly
  • You set the pace with consistent achievement of sales goals
  • You will be given the support, training and tooling to be a raging success in this role, but you are a self-starter who will drive themselves and manage their territory and portfolio like it’s their own business
  • You are an amazing relationship builder. You have a desire to bring customers to Tapi for great customer outcomes and maximised revenue
  • You recognise the potential of SaaS and understand Tapi’s mission deeply. You believe Tapi will become one of the most important proptech companies in the world
  • You have enthusiasm and/or experience in property management or Proptech
  • Experience with B2B SaaS sales is preferred but not vital for the right person
