Tapi is a technology platform and SaaS business that simplifies maintenance and repairs for property managers. The platform integrates all parties involved in the maintenance process and keeps them on the same page – allowing owners, tenants and service providers to have a great experience in and around rental homes. Tapi lets property managers focus on providing an outstanding service to their tenants and owners.

Role Description

At Tapi, our Business Development Representatives are inside sales people that focus on outreach and qualifying leads, with the goal of generating a sales pipeline for the Business Development Managers. BDRs will typically research potential prospects before reaching out to them. Their specific objective is to pass on leads that match designated criteria as sales-qualified leads to our Business Development Managers to close. The BDR will take the prospect to the point of booking a meeting, at which point the BDM will take them through the rest of the sales process.

Objectives of this Role

  • Represent Tapi’s products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage Tapi’s BDM’s for next steps
  • Identify ways to refine the company’s lead generation playbook

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Utilise and maintain information our CRM, actively cold call, and email potential leads to generate new sales opportunities
  • Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and BDMs
  • Report to Head of Sales with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

Qualifications:

  • A great personality and a drive to help people solve their problems
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Have experience cold calling UK, USA, or Australian customers
  • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organisation
  • Prior experience as a sales development rep with a track record of achieving sales quotas would be an advantage but not essential
