Job Description

Join Propra as an Accounting Intern and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, startup environment where your contributions will make a real impact. You'll work closely with our team on key accounting functions like accounts payable, month-end close processes, and financial reporting, while also collaborating cross-functionally on exciting projects. Responsibilities

  • Assist in accounts payable and receivable functions, including data entry, invoice processing, and payment processing.
  • Support month-end close processes by reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and generating financial reports.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial records, both electronically and physically.
  • Contributing to and maintaining Propra’s customer resource hub and platform documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members cross functionally on special projects, analysis and strategic initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree, currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year, preferably in an accounting or finance focused discipline
  • Previous experience working within accounts payable, accounts receivable, or other accounting function preferred
  • Innovative and resourceful with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Great attention to detail and enjoys solving problems
  • Personable and an effective communicator with strong organizational skills
  • Incredibly driven and hungry to learn with a passion for technology
  • Strong team player who can excel in a fast-paced environment

This is a full-time 4 month term starting January 6, 2025, with the possibility of extension for the Summer 2025 term based on performance. This is open to post-secondary students, currently enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year, and who are returning to full-time or part-time studies after completing the work term. Candidates must be located in Calgary or open to relocate for on-site work.
