Your Opportunity:
You have the opportunity to participate in and learn legal skills in a variety of business practices that range from software to business entities, to employment law to real estate. Join our legal team in this full time position that includes the preparation, distribution and tracking of contracts, creating and maintaining business entities, and a broad range of administrative tasks and communications. What You're Great At:
You are a self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented individual. Quickly mastering new software and systems. You are comfortable juggling multiple tasks at a time. While not an expert yet, you have experience with one or more of the following: maintaining business entities as well as employment, contract, business, and/or real estate law. You are a stellar communicator and passionate about serving -- and learning from -- business leaders.

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with in-house counsel on all of PLACE's legal needs
  • Prepare, distribute and track contracts
  • Create and maintain business entities
  • Collaborate with headquarters and partner stakeholders
  • Research case law, precedent and other business/legal best practices
  • Lead and execute all administrative legal tasks

Skills You Have:

  • 1 year legal assistant experience
    OR
  • a legal assistant/paralegal certification or diploma
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and also collaborate with others
  • Excellent communication skills -- verbal, written and legal correspondence
  • Strong research abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain deadlines
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
