Your Opportunity:

Place is looking to hire a Director of Accounting to join our rapidly growing accounting team! Our accounting team provides accounting services for several real estate sales companies located across the US and Canada.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan & oversee the consolidated monthly close
  • Coordinate with segment accounting teams
  • Prepare corporate consolidation, including intercompany and eliminations
  • Ensure corporate and other specified subsidiaries are closed timely and accurately
  • Oversee cross entity cash settlements
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled timely and completely
  • Ensure all accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and established accounting principles
  • Identify solutions to discrepancies in financial records
  • Coordinate external audit deliverables
  • Recommend process and internal control improvements
  • Lead specified system enhancement projects
  • Implement, maintain, and enhance SOX controls
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills You Have:

  • Hands on NetSuite experience
  • Familiarity with NetSuite allocations and intercompany modules
  • Experience leading NetSuite implementation projects
  • Experience leading transformative projects to drive continuous improvement
  • Understanding of US GAAP and knowledge of key accounting guidelines
  • End-to-end process orientation with project management and problem solving skills. Ability to address issues, own the outcome, and continuously strive for excellent processes and deliverables
  • Excellent business partnering, influencing, and presentation skills. Good business judgment, ability to communicate and partner with executive business leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and can easily learn other tools
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or accounting
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred

Salary: $100,000-$145,000 depending on location and experience
