The PLACE IT Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and applications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and end-user devices.
  2. Administer and optimize key platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Kaseya VSA, Jamf, and Active Directory, ensuring their seamless integration and efficient performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT solutions that meet our business requirements and security standards.
  4. Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues, offering timely support to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in IT technologies and best practices to continuously enhance the organization's IT capabilities.
  6. Conduct regular system audits and security assessments to proactively identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate actions.
  7. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  8. Mentor and guide junior IT staff, providing valuable insights and fostering their professional growth.
  9. Participate in IT projects and initiatives, ensuring successful execution and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  10. Proactively identify areas of improvement within the IT infrastructure and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Google Workspace, Okta, Jamf) are a plus.
  2. Proven experience as an IT Engineer, with a focus on managing Okta, Google Workspace, Kaseya VSA, Jamf, and Active Directory.
  3. Strong understanding of networking concepts, cloud-based solutions, and security protocols.
  4. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools to streamline IT processes.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  6. Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
  7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

Salary: $115,000-140,000 USD DOE
