Site Address: Houston, TX at the thriving, 35-acre CityWestPlace campus
Reports to: Customer Success Director who works remote
Work Hours: You will typically work Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm, however you will need to be flexible as needed to support specialty programming, such as early morning events or evening sports leagues.
Your Mission:
Your mission is to elevate the experience at the CityWest Fitness Center - located in a commercial office campus - into a thriving hub of wellness for its members. At lulafit’s very first location in Houston, you’ll set the standard in the market with hospitality-focused operations, innovative programming like sports leagues, creative engagement programs, and industry-leading fitness services like personal training and group classes. You’ll create a supportive and inspiring space that runs like a well-oiled machine and provides your tenants with an exceptional experience that is their favorite break from their day-to-day job.
The Legacy You'll Leave:
As a result of your time in this role, CityWest Fitness Center became known as the primary hub for tenant well-being in Houston’s Westchase District. You built lasting relationships with hundreds of members, improved fitness center engagement and membership satisfaction, and led CityWest Fitness Center to be the reason tenants were excited to come to work every day. You created a thriving community and an unmatched tenant experience that improved the connection, well-being, and longevity of every member who entered the space.

What You’re Responsible For:

  • Operational Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in your fitness center, ensuring amenities are well-stocked and equipment is pristine and working well. Achieve a 100% readiness score during audits and positive feedback from your Property Manager(s). Maintain a quarterly membership satisfaction rating of 95% or higher.
  • Team Leadership and Performance: Directly manage two Fitness Managers - one who works 6am-2pm and the other who works 11am-7pm. Provide direct support, consistent coaching, and quarterly performance reviews to ensure your team members are meeting or exceeding personal training revenue targets, member satisfaction goals, creating and executing engaging programming, and making the magic happen every day.
  • Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed revenue goals for your site, both by contributing to these goals and motivating your team members to meet them as well. Revenue streams will include individual and corporate memberships (achieving at least $300K in membership revenue annually), personal and small group training revenue (achieving $24k in annual personal training revenue), private class revenue, and fitness league revenue.
  • Personal and Small Group Training: Plan and lead 4-7 personal or small group training sessions per month. You will also be responsible for substitute teaching fitness classes and/or coaching clients for your Fitness Managers when they take time off.
  • Marketing and Member Engagement: Collaborate with your property management team on marketing strategies and activations to increase fitness center usage and engagement. Create a monthly newsletter for your members, as well as other marketing materials as needed, to promote programs such as special events and/or discounts.
  • Sports Courts Management: Manage the operations of your indoor basketball court, outdoor soccer field, and outdoor sand volleyball court. Drive tenant engagement and satisfaction by organizing seasonal leagues and specialty programming utilizing the sports courts. Coordinate private rentals of sports courts for tenants, from booking requests through event execution, ensuring a hospitality-forward experience for all rentals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Cultivate meaningful relationships with key stakeholders by fostering seamless collaboration with your building management team, taking their feedback and turning it into solutions, and providing data-centered reports every month to show progress towards goals.

Baseline Expectations

  • 4+ years of experience in the fitness and/or wellness industry

  • CPR and First Aid Certifications
  • Previous experience managing small teams
  • Previous experience managing budgets and interpreting P&L reports
  • Experience creating and presenting operational and financial reports, summarizing key metrics and trends of a fitness center
