So, what’s the role?

As our Automation Engineer, you'll develop and maintain the robust front end applications that drive efficiency and automation with Kin Insurance! You will have the liberty to work on building complex internal and external applications while collaborating with peers in Data, Dev, Product, QA, Claims, and other cross-functional teams. As a team member, you'll be surrounded by senior engineers, gain mentorship and the experience to eventually lead teams of your own!

A day in the life could include:

  • Building fully comprehensive front end applications utilizing low-code application builders

  • Investigating and understanding business stakeholder problems and devising scalable solutions

  • Interacting with various third party APIs to centralize data capture and data interaction

  • Participating in pair programming sessions with team members

  • Collaborating with cross-functional team members to evaluate solutions to business problems

  • Providing subject matter expertise and support

I’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?

  • 3+ years of experience in a software engineering/data engineering/analytics engineering role

  • Background in computer science or related field

  • Knowledge of SQL, Javascript, and APIs: A strong technical generalist

  • Experience talking with business stakeholders to understand their problems

  • Self starter, this role will be owning key applications/systems

Bonus Points:

  • Experience using Retool or any low code app building platforms a plus

  • Experience in the insurance industry a plus
