We’re looking for an enthusiastic, quick, and passionate software engineer, who is (or is interested in becoming) an expert at back-end, front-end, and/or mobile development. Ideally, she is very comfortable writing meaningful Javascript (React Native), Objective-C/Swift (iOS), and/or Java (Android), working with databases (SQL/NoSQL), 3rd party APIs, and/or servers in general.

Working on the “back-end” in our architecture involves more than just your typical back-end workload, as Hurdlr's API is consumed by products other than just Hurdlr's apps. Hurdlr's back-end also consumes 15+ APIs, with several years worth of new and intriguing integrations on the roadmap.

Working on the “front-end” in our architecture involves more than working on your traditional front-end, as much of our core technology sits on the phone/front-end itself, including an auto-sensing mileage-tracking algorithm using GPS, which we built from scratch, full offline edit capabilities, and more.

At Hurdlr, we expose all new hires to the entire stack, and then gradually discover what the team member is truly interested in. We've found that, oftentimes with less-experienced hires, that exposure may spark an interest in a new hire that they didn't even know they had.
